Thanks to Fashion magazines for all the style education that I have acquired so far. To date, the top 5 magazines that I trust and subscribe to are namely Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vogue, Glamour and Grazia. They are equivalent to The Robin's to a undergraduate medical student or The two volumes Ackerman's Pathology textbook to a budding pathologist. 2. It was the first handbag with shoulder strap-Chanel's solution to the dilemma of juggling a clutch with a champagne flute. The famous chain was inspired by the thin straps on soldiers' bags.
3. In the 80s, Karl lagerfeld added the linked "CC" logo, and interwove leather with the chain.
4. The front flap covers a secret pocket. Coco allegedly used hers to stash illicit love letters from Nazi spy Hans Gunther von Dincklage.

I hope I am not too late in replying your message. At the first glance, I am not too sure of the Jumbo beige. The shape of the bag looks slightly odd and so does the cutting of the flap of the bag. In addition, as far as I am aware, most jumbos are single flap. Double flap jumbos didnt come in until fairly recently. Looking at its serial number (which is in the 140,000 range, I don't think it existed then). So, caution there.
On the first glimpse, the black looks authentic. Having said that, I have never bought from Ebay before. Although, comparatively US 4K is relatively cheaper than the boutiques, I prefer not to risk buying something that you can't guarantee its authenticity.
The choice between black or beige would be down to personal preference. Beige is a pretty colour but relatively tricky to maintain. I tend to use my black more often.
Hi! I love your jumbo - it's perfect. Somewhat odd question: have you discovered the best way to store it? I recently got a black caviar jumbo, but I can't decide the best way to store (standing up/laying down, chain wrapped and outside or pulled inside, in just bag or in bag/box, etc) when I'm not using it!

I store mine in its dust bag & box, chains tucked inside. I leave the box lying flat,....although I have been told it is best to leave it standing upright. However, I am seriously lacking wardrobe space and therefore, I left it lying down flat. So far, it hasn't suffered any ill effects.... well yet :) hope that helps
forgot to say that I place a lot of extra padding in the box as cushions!

NM you mean Neiman Marcus?? I am presuming you are based in the US or Canada. Unfortunately, I am based in the united kingdom. Im sorry but I am not aware if the Jumbo beige is available anywhere in particular. I presume their stock depends on individual boutiques. I bought mine from Thomas Brown, Dublin (Republic Ireland) and at that time waited nearly 6 months on a waiting list with more than 30 people for it as they were not available in the whole of UK.
Very sorry but I cant help much. Probably worth asking your local Chanel boutique to contact other stores if they stock it elsewhere.

Sorry but I am not aware if there is a current list. It depends on individual boutiques and if you call them, they would let you know if they have it in stock or if not, they would be able to tell when they are expecting stocks arriving.

Among all the other Chanel quilted bags, this is the one that I actually wanted to save my money for and buy. But then, I received one as a gift, from caviar material. I think it's a first grade fake though, not an original. It came from a vintage shop in Singapore. But of course, fake or original, since it's a very thoughtful gift, I'd carry it happily!

Just got it yesterday and cannot believe it's at my home right now! I am getting very addicted to Chanel (after having the first bag, to now owning five with load of cosmetics and perfumes). I actually like the older styles better than the new ones. And some vintage ones are absolutely fabulous, like the ones you have, all so pretty!! Hi, I read what you wrote about storing your Chanel bags. You should try to have them standing upright in their boxes. I worry that the bags will become damaged laying flat. My Chanel rep in 2002 advised me not to lay my bags flat when I moved.
